Dyn Launches First VAR Program To Grow In Enterprise Market
It’s a far cry from Dyn’s founding in 2001 as a free, open source project created and administered by college students. The company quickly evolved, however, and is now the global leader in managed DNS, serving millions of users in 230 countries, according to the latest Alexa 1,000 survey.
Customers include name-brand Internet properties such as Twitter, Netflix and Pandora.
’ No matter how fast you grow organically, the world is a vast place to provide proper services for, so the reseller program at this point for Dyn makes sense,’ Roy said.
Nexum, a solution provider specializing in networking and cybersecurity products, is one of Dyn’s first VAR partners.
Brian Haboush, Nexum’s VP of sales, told CRN that joining the reseller program is part of Nexum’s ongoing strategy to offer best-in-breed networking and security solutions.
’Dyn's industry-leading solutions complement our networking and security portfolio, helping our customers nimbly respond to an ever-changing Internet environment. Their solutions are at the core of Internet performance," Haboush said.
Brown told CRN that solution providers such as Nexum can expect to find a partner that respects the channel and looks to offer healthy margins.
’A differentiator is truly an ability to understand our client base, both end users and partners, and to service, manage and respect those businesses,’ Brown said.
Jamie Anderson, president of Emergent Networks, said in a prepared statement that his company joined Dyn’s VAR program because the managed DNS service fits with his company’s focus on offering the industries’ best high-availability, business continuity and disaster-recovery products and services.
’Our partnership with Dyn also allows Emergent to grow our recurring cloud revenue stream, keeping us in a strong financial position, allowing us to continue to support our customers at the highest level,’ Anderson said.
