Scribe Software Set For Integration Platform-as-a-Service Capabilities Launch

Scribe Software, a developer of data integration solutions, is previewing its first Integration Platform-as-a-Service. It's an offering intended to provide the company’s channel partners a turnkey solution for integrating data produced from on-premise and cloud-based applications.

The new capability for Scribe’s cloud platform, Scribe Online, was developed with a focus on mid-market businesses and, in another first for the company, will be sold through a white-label program to channel partners at wholesale prices.

It's a strategic business move from the New Hampshire-based software vendor intended to empower VARs and system integrators to knit together different applications, be they SaaS or on-premise, and build workflows using starter packs to create specific solutions for vertical markets, Scribe President and CEO Lou Guercia said.

"We've developed a set of capabilities that partners can access through a browser, create integration maps and move data through these best-of-breed applications. We are giving them an ability to buy data integration on a wholesale basis," Guercia told CRN.

Many solution providers are searching for solutions to integrate data being generated from CRM systems, financial software, ERP systems, customer service databases and other diverse sources, he said.

"Those systems create a lot of customer data and they want to get after the data and use it to their advantage and their customers’ advantage. We have the ability to do these maps now that can all be done via API. You can reuse maps, import from other clients, deliver and you don’t have to do a lot of work. They can just be used and reused," Guercia said.

The subscription service for data integration will be released in the fall, and resellers who sign on are encouraged to white-label the product to craft self-branded solutions.

Alex Fagundes, CIO at PowerObjects, a Scribe partner that has nine years of experience working with the vendor’s on-premise and cloud-based data-integration products, told CRN that Scribe continues to adapt its products to the needs of its partners.

PowerObjects' first integration project using Scribe software was for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 deployment in the pre-cloud days.

"It is great to see how the Scribe production has evolved into a cloud-based solution that is easier to deploy, upkeep and create integrations with, whatever the future holds, due to Scribe's ever evolving adapter ecosystem," Fagundes said.

Scribe has enabled PowerObjects to create integrations and complete migrations faster and cheaper, he said.

"The ability to utilize Scribe Online for integrations with just a couple clicks sets us apart from our competition. PowerObjects has grown from a 12-employee company to over 200 employees working with just Dynamics CRM and giving our customers affordable, quick and reliable data migrations with Scribe has been a key part of our continued growth," Fagundes said.

Scribe does more than 80 percent of its business through its VARs and system integrators, so it always thinks about the market through a channel perspective, Guercia said.

"We think this is going to be really well-suited to VARs and MSPs who are increasingly turning toward cloud and SaaS business models so they can build solutions and deploy them more quickly via the cloud. They can deliver a fully-integrated solution that’s best-of-breed as their own solution," Guercia said.

"We're not only giving them technology to deliver solutions, but also a way to package it and deliver it in a way where they make more money," he added.
