VIDEO: Dell PowerEdge R720 Server Reviewed
The PowerEdge R720 is the 12th generation of Dell's PowerEdge server series, and this edition is notable because the servers are powered by Intel's new Sandy Bridge-based Xeon processors. The 32-nm chips have up to eight processor cores and up to 16 threads, delivering serious pop for the PowerEdge R720.
The R720 has other new features as well, such as allowing users to select different networking options. Eddie Correia, managing editor of the CRN Test Center, opens up the server and takes a look at the scalable and expandable hardware options inside the PowerEdge R720.
