CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring new talent into the channel— either by working with a partner or by working with a vendor to support partners.

Open roles include:

All the hiring comes despite multiple tech giants cutting their employee rosters amid growing inflation, the possibility of a recession in the near future and tightening IT budgets after high demand for technology during the height of the pandemic.
TD Synnex, Google, Malwarebytes, SkyKick, Slalom, Zebra and Cisco are among the tech businesses to announce or conduct layoffs in recent months.
Here are some of the latest job openings in the channel.
GitLab
On LinkedIn, GitLab has several open roles for channel-related positions
The San Francisco-based development security operations (DevSecOps) platform provider has the following roles open:
*A strategic account executive for the intelligence community who can make at least $98,600 a year and has to work with strategic channel partners to exceed sales quotas, generate qualified leads and develop new customers
*A senior program manager for partner readiness who can make at least $97,400 a year and has at least 10 years of experience with sales and enablement for channel partners, managed services providers (MSPs), managed security services providers (MSSPs), global system integrators (GSIs) and other partner types
*A senior technical trainer who can make at least $93,700 a year and will provide education and enablement to partners and customers plus deliver training content to partners, developers, administrators and other stakeholders
Sophos
Sophos has multiple open roles that interact with channel partners, according to LinkedIn posts.
The following are among the open roles the England-based security vendor wants to fill:
*A senior enterprise account executive for the Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota and Pittsburgh area who will work with the channel sales team and partner community to create pipeline through indirect engagements.
* A sales center specialist who manages channel partner-driven inbound business of 100 users and fewer – the specialist assists partners with quotes, renewals, deal registrations, licensing and other sales-related activity.
*A channel account executive (CAE) who develops joint business plans with partners to hit revenue and profitability targets through new services and portfolio customer opportunities, up-selling and cross-selling to existing customers and renewals
*A contracts manager who might need to negotiate Sophos standard terms with resellers, distributors, channel partners and end users
*A senior managed detection and response (MDR) sales engineer who will manage and deliver technical information to partners provide Sophos product management employees with partner feedback and advise partners of threat actor warning signs
*A global senior renewals sales director who will work to foster relationships with and address concerns from partners and distributors
All of Sophos’ revenue comes from solution providers, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
Ironscales
Ironscales has an opening for a channel business manager who will build and manage MSP and MSSP partnerships, according to LinkedIn.
The Atlanta-based cloud email security platform provider wants this manager to leverage partner relationships to drive new monthly recurring revenue (MRR), healthy margins and increased opportunity, according to the listing.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience with MSPs and MSSPs, particularly those in North America. Candidates should have cybersecurity experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Ironscales has about 100 worldwide channel partners, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
Trend Micro
Trend Micro has a couple of job openings related to how the vendor interacts with the channel, according to LinkedIn.
The Irving, Texas-based cybersecurity company seeks an MSP program manager who can make at least $155,000 a year, according to a listing.
This hire will collaborate with the service provider channel director to define and execute the strategic vision for the program, aligning it with company goals and objectives. The hire will oversee a team of channel account managers and assist with pricing, positioning strategy, pipeline management and other activities.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of experience in managed services and cybersecurity and a deep understanding of best practices, challenges and trends in managed services, according to the listing.
A listing for a Trend Micro regional account manager says that the new hire can make about $250,000 a year.
The hire will work to develop a sales account plan and work with channel partners and cloud alliances to identify and develop new business opportunities in the install base.
Candidates should have experience closing large enterprise security transactions of at least $100,000 and at least five years of experience in security and enterprise software sales, according to the listing.
Trend Micro has about 10,000 channel partners in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
Sprinklr
Sprinklr has a listing for a partner marketing coordinator who can make at least $83,000 a year, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The New York-based customer experience management platform provider seeks a coordinator to help evolve the Sprinklr Unified Partners Program and advise the global partnerships team, external partners and cross-functional teams across Sprinklr globally, according to the listing.
The coordinator will work with system integrators and other partners on events, conferences, public relations (PR), content marketing, ads, sales and other co-marketing programs. This hire will also administer and track market development funds (MDF) and manage event budget allocations and sponsorships.
Candidates should have at least four years of experience in marketing, communications, account-based marketing and leading in-person and virtual events.
Sprinklr has about 100 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
Mesh
On LinkedIn, Mesh has an opening for an account executive (AE) who will work with and recruit MSPs.
The Ireland-based email security vendor wants this AE to manage the entire customer lifecycle from initial engagement and onboarding to customer success, according to the listing. The AE will hold discovery calls, capture market feedback and attend industry events, among other actions.
Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience and an ability to recruit MSPs.
QNAP
QNAP has an opening for a sales account manager near Fairfax, Va., who can make at least $50,000 and will work to promote products and services to channel partners.
The Taiwan-based network-attached storage vendor wants this manager to work with resellers, services providers, distributors and other partner types to address feedback and market opportunities, according to the listing.
The hire will have to cold call and email to develop new business, train channel partners, exceed revenue and gross profit goals, submit business review reports and action plans and other tasks.
Candidates should have at least three years of business development experience, according to the listing.
Elastic
Elastic has an opening for a public sector regional partner and campaign marketing manager who can make at least $106,900 a year, according to LinkedIn
The Mountain View, Calif.-based search products vendor seeks a manager who can grow and accelerate co-marketing with regional resell partners, technology alliances hyperscalers, and Carahsoft.
According to the listing, this new hire will work on quarterly partner events, think of new programs to scale multiple partners and participate in trade shows, virtual and live campaigns, partner conferences and other activities.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and experience in public sector partner marketing, according to the listing.
1Password
On LinkedIn, 1Password lists a couple of partner-related positions.
The Canada-based data protection and identity vendor has a listing for a senior channel partnerships manager who can make at least $98,000 a year, according to LinkedIn.
The manager will design, develop, implement and evolve global go-to-market (GTM) programs. The manager will develop strong relationships with key partners across the ecosystem and identify opportunities to create strategic growth plans with partners and identify programs and strategies that deliver growth for 1Password, according to the listing.
Candidates should have at least four years of experience in partner management and business development, especially with distributors and resellers.
1Password also seeks a senior Amazon Web Services (AWS) alliance manager who can make at least $98,000 a year who will maintain relationships with AWS partners and oversee all AWS-related activities, according to the listing.

BlueVoyant
BlueVoyant has at least two listings for channel positions, according to LinkedIn.
The New York-based security vendor seeks a client executive for Arizona and Utah who will collaborate with partners and meet partner program objectives, according to the listing.
Candidates should have at least five years of enterprise sales experience and experience with working with partner-driven sales.
