Review: Galaxy Note Pro 12 Is Anything But Low End

At 12.2 inches, theGalaxy Note Pro 12is Samsung's biggest-ever tablet. Shipping since March 9, the Note Pro 12 might soon be getting some company from Apple, which rumor has it has been working on a large tablet of its own.

With an entry price of $750, Samsung's Note Pro 12 pricing is on par with some fairly powerful laptops and has been criticized. But there's a lot going on in that 1.3-pound slab; Samsung has made what we believe is the closest thing yet to a laptop replacement. Even most low-end laptops fall well short of its 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. And we know of no laptop at any price with an eight-core processor and an equally impressive embedded GPU that also handles some of the general-purpose computing workload. And unlike most tablets out there, the Note Pro 12 can display four running apps on the screen at once and more floating on top.

And all that is just the beginning of what this impressive device can do. Be sure toread the full reviewat CRN.com.
