Panasonic showcased additions to its ToughPad line at CES, with a particular focus on convertible 2-in-1s.
The new CF-20 is Panasonic’s first product that has a keyboard base and tablet that can be used separately.
Panasonic’s Kyp Walls called it a ’great solution for those who are looking for something that’s rugged and versatile.’
At CES, Panasonic introduced the ToughPad FZ-Q1, a 12.5-inch semi-rugged tablet built with the reseller in mind. It’s dirt- and dust-resistant and starts at $1,000.
’We think it’s going to have a lot of potential for resellers who are trying to reach the small- and medium-business user. Historically ToughBook and ToughPad products have been priced a little too high for the standard small- business user,’ Walls said.
Panasonic promises the FZ-Q1 will ’hold up better than a consumer tablet’ in work zones with ’legendary ToughPad reliability.’
