Demo: Microsoft Surface Studio
On WednesdayMicrosoft unveiled the 28-inch Surface Studio, an all-in-one touch screen PC aimed at creative professionals.
And Microsoft had some actual creative professionals on hand to show it off, including architect Carol Hsiung.
Hsiung told me that she doesn't consider herself a "computer person," but she's found that the Mental Canvas app on Surface Studio expands what she can do, such as by playing back what she just drew.
Microsoft Office is in the mix, too.
A new PowerPoint feature designed for Surface Studio is called "Ink Replay"—which, for instance, can essentially let you look over your teacher's shoulder.
One Microsoft executive pitched the Surface Studio by saying it "brings out the creator in all of us."
It's a line, yes, but he's kinda right: this is a machine that makes you want to draw.
