Xirrus Backs WLAN Launch With Channel Plans
The new PartnerAdvantage Program comes two weeks after the debut of the company and its WLAN Array product family, which integrates a WLAN switch and up to 16 access points into a single device.
Through the new program, Xirrus is signing on partners across three categories: Certified, which carries an annual volume commitment of $25,000; Specialist, with a volume commitment of $250,000; and Pro, with a commitment of $500,000, said John DiGiovanni, director of marketing at Xirrus, Westlake Village, Calif., in a recent interview.
Partners that join the program are eligible to receive benefits such as co-op funds, service incentives, discounted demo equipment, sales and marketing support and access to training.
"We have fewer devices to deploy, so we expect that integrators will have a higher margin [opportunity]," DiGiovanni said.
Xirrus also announced its first distribution partnership, signing on D&H Distrubuting, Harrisburg, Pa.
All partners will source product through distribution, DiGiovanni said.
