Masergy Launches 'Marketplace' Online Directory Of Solution Providers

The Web site offers information and access to enterprise-focused solution providers, offering an array of services complimentary to Masergy’s virtualized network solutions, such as cloud, data center, voice and video services.

For enterprise clients who choose providers that have been thoroughly vetted by Masergy for quality and support, the Marketplace site can help alleviate “80 percent of the pain” of dealing with multiple vendors for IT and telephony needs, said Masergy's director of product development, Andy Singleton.

Singleton said that many enterprise clients have been dissatisfied with the single provider solution. Because of the size and scale and the need for customization, many “one stop shops” can’t handle the complex solutions that larger enterprise businesses require. Masergy’s Marketplace provides these clients with the option of selecting from vendors that are already connected to Masergy and choosing custom solutions that fit their business needs, Singleton said.

The Marketplace partners have been selected to make the list based on their enterprise focus, size and partner programs. Masergy removes the headaches of dealing with multiple vendors because, while they don’t provide the customer with one bill, they are able to provide back-up and support, Singleton said.

The Plano, Texas-based Masergy has added 10 solution providers to its Marketplace site, including Onestream, Datapipe, and BCS Global, with more to be added soon, said Singleton.

The Marketplace model helps streamline the process for channel partners, too, according to Rob Shelby, who directs Masergy’s global channel program.

“What this allows our partners to do is fulfill the needs of Masergy customers with an array of options, while getting those customers turned up faster,” Shelby said. “And partners in turn can start receiving their commissions faster.”
