CenturyLink Steps Up Its SAP Game, Scoops Up SAP Solution Provider Seal Consulting
CenturyLink Monday said it plans to acquire SAP solution provider Seal Consulting to build out its integrated SAP portfolio and add broader SAP implementation services.
Seal Consulting, an Edison, N.J.-based solution provider, specializes in implementing a range of SAP solutions. The company serves business customers across several verticals, including manufacturing, retail and consumer products industries.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

CenturyLink is a global premium supplier partner for SAP and currently offers SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud services.
CenturyLink, Monroe, La., will gain Seal Consulting's implementation and support expertise across a slew of SAP offerings, including SAP ERP Central Component, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Hybris, SAP CRM, SAP Basis, SAP Security, SAP Fiori, SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence, as well as supply chain management, and governance, risk and compliance solutions.
The deal also will give CenturyLink deeper expertise in a number of industry verticals, CenturyLink said in a statement.
CenturyLink's chief enterprise relationship officer and president of its Advanced Solutions Group, Gary Gauba, said the combination of CenturyLink's network, hosting, cloud and managed services strengths, coupled with Seal Consulting's extensive SAP expertise, will push SAP adoption among business customers.
CenturyLink made news in October when it said it would buy Broomfield, Colo.-based telecom provider Level 3 for $34 billion. The combined company will form the second-largest telecom provider in terms of business customers in the U.S. That deal is expected to close in third-quarter 2017.
