BullsEye Telecom Appoints COO To Raise Profile In VoIP, SD-WAN Markets

BullsEye Telecom has appointed a chief operating officer for the first time, filling the seat with one of its founders, Tom Tisko, the provider said Wednesday.

"Tom has a vision of making things go smoothly and helping [the company] to operate more efficiently, and he is very customer-oriented when it comes to making things right so this will be a great success story for BullsEye," said Kathleen Waters, managing partner of CreekView Group, a Milton, Ga.-based telecom consulting firm and longtime BullsEye partner.

Tisko, a BullsEye founder and executive vice president for the company prior to his latest promotion, will be laser-focused on helping BullsEye customers transition from analog Internet Protocol-based communications and more complex technologies, according to the Southfield, Mich.-based company.

BullsEye, a channel-friendly service provider that does nearly all its business through its community of channel partners, has adjusted its strategy in recent years to focus on VoIP, UCaaS, SIP and broadband internet services.

Tisko's appointment is a signal to partners that BullsEye's goal is to streamline its offerings and build up its strategy around emerging technologies such as SD-WAN, Waters said.

"BullsEye has a vision for how they are going to make the company one of the forerunners in the SD-WAN market," she said.

By serving as COO, Tisko will help BullsEye establish itself as a formidable VoIP and broadband provider for multi-location business customers.

"[Tisko] will now be in the position to really take on educating customers and delivering what sells, and that's a big deal," Waters said.

Tisko will be tasked with providing the leadership, management and vision necessary for the company to grow within the VoIP and UCaaS markets, according to BullsEye.

Prior to his 18-year tenure with BullsEye, Tisko worked for Electronic Data Systems as an engineer and manager. Tisko also worked for World Data Delivery Systems as the company's director of operations, according to BullsEye.
