Sprint Readies Management Services For Mobile Devices
As more businesspeople access corporate data via advanced cellular phones, the need for better security is also expected to increase. Sprint Managed Mobility Services addresses that need by enabling businesses to remotely erase sensitive information from devices that are lost or stolen, company officials said.
In addition, Sprint will be able to track usage of wireless devices, and automatically upgrade software without having the user bring the gadget to information technology staff.
"By managing business customers' wireless needs from end to end, Sprint can deliver a better customer experience and improve customers' efficiency and cost profile," Howard Janzen, president of Sprint Business Solutions group, said in a statement.
The Overland Park, Kan., wireless carrier said it expects to have the service generally available in the first quarter of next year.
