HPE Global Partner Summit: Day One Recap
HPE’s launch of the new GreenLake Flex Capacity program stole the show on Monday when the tech giant kicked off its Global Partner Summit in Las Vegas.
’The proof is in the pudding and they delivered a program today that’s specifically for partners around what is the most innovative offering that HPE has,’ said Ron Nemecek, business alliance manager at OnX, an HPE partner based in Cincinnati, Ohio. ’It gives us a new discussion to have with our partners and it’s a conversation they want to have with us.’
The new program is said to be the most significant partner opportunity the channel has seen in decades. The consumption-based infrastructure service offers on-demand capacity and planning. The move is designed to make it easier for the channel to sell the vendor's on-premises consumption solution, leading to more profits for partners.
’It’s not just about the technology, but the economic value we bring with you,’ said HPE CEO Antonio Neri.
At the Global Partner Summit, Neri reaffirmed his commitment to the channel, telling partners he views them as part of his sales force.
’I want to make sure whatever knowledge I pass to my people is the same knowledge I pass to you,’ he said.
Neri also spoke a lot about the enterprise of the future, describing it as edge-centric, cloud-enabled and data-driven.
