Zoom Hires HP Poly VP As New Global Partner Leader To ‘Elevate’ Channel Ecosystem

Channel veteran Nick Tidd has left HP Inc.’s hybrid work subsidiary Poly to join videoconferencing rival Zoom as its new head of global channels.

Tidd said he was “excited” to join videoconferencing superstar Zoom as its new global head of channel go-to-market.

“I’ll lead our referral, resale, distribution and strategies, all aimed at expanding Zoom’s impact and empowering our partners to achieve even greater success,” said Tidd in a post on LinkedIn. “The team is focused on fostering sales alignment, scaling systems and processes, and driving ease of doing business for accelerated growth with partners.”

Tidd said he was looking forward to working with Zoom’s Mark Jenkins, head of global strategic partnerships and alliances, “to elevate our partner ecosystem and help customers transform how they collaborate and connect.”

Tidd’s Channel History

Nick Tidd was most recently vice president of HP’s Global Partner Organization, overseeing its hybrid work offerings and peripherals.

Tidd joined HP after the company acquired Poly—formerly known as Polycom—in 2022 for $3.3 billion. Tidd was vice president of Poly’s Global Partner Organization at the time.

Tidd was in charge of ensuring the successful integration of HP and Poly from a channel perspective. He officially left HP Poly in June 2024.

Tidd's LinkedIn post announcing his new position at Zoom has generated over 250 comments from IT professionals, including new and former colleagues. “Welcome aboard; looking forward to working with you,” said Zoom’s John Lindsley, head of national and strategic partners.

Prior to Poly, Tidd was senior vice president of global sales for software provider Condusiv Technologies.

He spent 15 years in various positions at 3Com, including as vice president of worldwide channel sales.

Zoom’s Q2 2025 Results

San Jose, Calif.-based Zoom recently reported second fiscal quarter 2025 revenue of $1.16 billion, representing an increase of 2 percent year over year.

Enterprise revenue was $682 million, up 3 percent year over year, while online revenue was $480 million, representing flat growth.

Zoom currently has approximately 191,600 enterprise customers on a global basis.

The company projected current third fiscal quarter 2025 revenue to be around $1.165 billion.
