SMBs Play Growing Role In U.S. Outsourcing Market

U.S. organizations are expected to spend $268.7 billion this year, International Data Corp., said. Outsourcing of information technology and business processes is expected to drive a compound annual growth rate of 7.1 percent through 2009, when the market is expected to each $355 billion.

SMBs accounted for 23 percent of spending in 2004, and that number is expected to increase to 27 percent by 2009, as the cost of services become more affordable and available, IDC said.
