Microsoft Issues Four Security Bulletins For Windows

The three security bulletins flagged with the highest warning level, MS04-011 through MS04-013, address 20 different holes in Windows XP, Windows Server, Windows 2000 and various earlier flavors of Windows. The Windows vulnerabilities could enable hackers to remotely execute malicious code in the Windows Outlook Express e-mail client and other components of Windows, Microsoft said.

The fourth bulletin in the April security update, MS04-014, carries a lesser warning level of "important," but the vulnerability could also allow for a hacker or virus writer to execute malicious code on the Windows OS, Microsoft said.

Microsoft advises customers and partners to download and apply the security updates immediately at microsoft.com/security .
