MetaInfo Teams With Vaticor To Strengthen IP Layer
Under the alliance, unveiled this week, the two companies will leverage their technologies to offer new and existing customers heightened layers of network security.
Devin Redmond, director of product management at Seattle-based MetaInfo, said the partnership will heighten network security by moving protection to the IP layer.
"It all comes down to a secure IP foundation," he said. "Having management control and reliability around your network infrastructure gives you that first foundation upon which you can build more control and security for your network environment as a whole."
MetaInfo's Meta IP solution will integrate Vaticor's Vigil-IP product and service capabilities, extending IP address, domain name system (DNS) and dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) to all MetaInfo products, Redmond said.
By combining Vigil-IP with Meta IP and secure addressing foundation extensions (SAFE) DHCP, MetaInfo will enhance customers' ability to monitor and manage the health and stability of their IP infrastructures, he added.
Exton, Pa.-based Vaticor also will add Meta IP to its product portfolio and feature it at IP solutions seminars. The product is slated to be available to Vaticor channel partners by the end of May.
