AEP Systems Rolls Out SSL VPN For Small Businesses
Called SureWare A-Gate AG-60, the device was unveiled Wednesday at the Networld Interop conference in Las Vegas. The product is slated to be available to U.S. resellers immediately, the company said.
The SureWare A-Gate AG-60 is priced at $7,000 and requires no additional installation or licensing fees. At that price point, the appliance is a cost-effective option for businesses with 50 employees or fewer, said Rob Lane, AEP's vice president of product management.
"The A-Gate AG-60 is aimed at businesses that have a need for secure remote access but typically have few IT resources and a limited budget," Lane said. "AEP Systems is committed to offering secure, high-quality products at an affordable price."
The A-Gate AG-60 has both client-server applications and clientless, Web-enabled applications, such as Windows Terminal Services. The appliance also features some of the standard benefits of SSL, including easy firewall traversal, application access controls and low maintenance costs, Lane said.
The device offers similar functionality to the SureWare AG-600, AEP's SSL VPN solution for customers with up to 400 concurrent users.
AEP Systems, based in Ireland, has its U.S. headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif.
