Workshare Seeks Partners To Stop Data Leaks

The Workshare Ready Partner Program kicked off Monday with the participation of vendors including Microsoft, IBM, GigaTrust, PGP, PostX, RPost, Secured Email, Secure Computing, Utimaco, and Voltage, said Ken Rutsky, executive vice president of marketing at San Francisco-based Workshare.

Through these partnerships, customers of Workshare Protect, the vendor's data leak prevention software, can add message archiving, data encryption, identity and access management, registered email delivery, and messaging gateway services, and other features, said Rutsky.

Under the program, third parties can integrate their compliance and security products directly with Workshare Protect through vendor specific plug-ins and a software development kit. Integration takes place through a standard API that's designed with Workshare's SDK and directly linked to .dll connections within Workshare Protect, Rutsky added.

The Workshare SDK lets channel partners create custom data leak prevention solutions based on the customer's specific needs, said Josh Krasnegor, vice president of marketing at FusionStorm, a San Francisco-based solution provider.
