StillSecure Upgrades Product, Integrates Patch Management
The new capabilities, unveiled Wednesday, are available to channel partners immediately.
VAM 4.0 now also incorporates a new vulnerability-centric workflow that allows single-click remediation for all devices in the enterprise with a particular vulnerability.
"Resolving vulnerabilities through patch management and other means is a daunting task," said Mitchell Ashley, CTO and vice president of engineering at the Louisville, Colo.-based vendor. "VAM systematically discovers, scans [and] manages the remediation process and now applies patches that are necessary in this era of zero-day attacks."
Specifically, the new VAM 4.0 integrates with Microsoft SMS to apply patches from within the product's Vulnerability Repair Workflow. The StillSecure product tracks and logs all SMS repair activity, automating verification scans to confirm that patches have been installed successfully and creating auditable reports.
VAM 4.0 also includes a new workflow that offers efficient and streamlined repairs with large numbers of devices and vulnerabilities in the repair workflow. Dubbed the Workflow Manager, this feature offers advanced filtering capabilities to give users quick access to critical information on all devices.
VAM 4.0 is sold for an annual subscription of $2,000 or on a varying purchase-plus-maintenance basis. It is available as a software appliance with a hardened operating system or as a preconfigured integrated hardware appliance.
