Rapid7 Layoffs

CRN has reached out to Rapid7 for comment.

Rapid7 has about 800 worldwide channel partners, 300 of them in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs feature.

Some of the affected workers have been with the vendor for more than five years. Others started recently.

“Yikes! 15 days into the new job I was affected by Rapid7’s restructuring,” Danon Beres, a Rapid7 commercial sales manager for the North Central region, wrote on LinkedIn. “I appreciate everyone’s support and help in liking/commenting on this post. Please reach out if you know of any openings that may match my experience. Thank you so much network!”

The news came as multiple vendors contend with high inflation in the U.S., fears around a potential recession and lowered demand for digital tools since the height of the global pandemic.

“Rapid7 unfortunately laid off 18% of it’s workforce today, and I was included in those impacted. Especially tough news as this is my 2nd layoff, and both in the same year,” Molly Spradling, a Rapid7 senior technical talent acquisition partner with the company since March, wrote on LinkedIn.

She continued: “I’ll be taking some time to recharge and narrow in on what the next (hopefully long term!) adventure will be. To my network full of incredibly kind & talented humans: I would be genuinely grateful if you kept me in mind for openings you come across: recruiting, customer success, or otherwise.”
