Channel Beat: FireEye Executive Departs, Citrix And Google Expand Partnership
Fast-growing solution provider ConvergeOne bought Cisco Gold Certified partner Anneses & Associates this week. The Eagan, Minn.-based company said its acquisition Tuesday of Clifton Park, N.Y.-based Annese & Associates, No. 226 on the 2017 CRN Solution Provider 500, is part of a long-term strategy to broaden and deepen its capabilities through inorganic growth.
Citrix Systems and Google, meanwhile, expanded their existing partnership Thursday to facilitate delivery of Citrix environments from Google's cloud infrastructure, and better integrate document collaboration and endpoint products. The companies are working on enabling Citrix partners and customers to use Citrix Cloud, an emerging platform for launching hybrid Citrix environments, allowing deployment of virtualized applications and desktops on the Google Cloud Platform.
Also this week Ken Gonzalez, who was senior vice president of corporate development and global alliances at FireEye, has left the company to take a role at Trident Capital Cybersecurity. Gonzalez will serve as managing director at the $300 million cybersecurity venture firm based in San Mateo, Calif. Trident Capital Cybersecurity said Gonzalez will focus on investments in cybersecurity around the Internet of Things, next-generation identity platforms, behavioral data analytics, privacy, secure payments and fraud protection.
Gonzalez's leaving comes after the departure this month of CMO Kara Wilson and the February departure of CFO Michael Berry. Berry took a role as CFO of McAfee and Wilson took a role as CMO at Rubrik.
