LSI Logic Offers Rebates, Demo Discounts For Adapters

LSI Logic traditionally has focused on the OEM environment and wants to bring its experience to the solution provider space, said Kerry Reid, senior director of worldwide channel sales at the company. "We want to help them easily try the entire line," he said.

The company is offering solution providers a $50 instant rebate on its dual-channel Ultra320 SCSI MegaRAID adapters, both with and without backup battery. It is also giving partners an instant rebate of $25 on its single-channel Ultra320 SCSI MegaRAID adapters and a $10 instant rebate on one-channel and two-channel Ultra320 SCSI non-RAID adapters.

Solution providers can now also purchase those products, as well as two-channel and one-channel, 2-Gbps Fibre Channel adapters and two-channel, 133MHz ATA adapters, at a 50 percent discount off list price for demonstration purposes, said Reid. This discount is for a one-time purchase of not-for-resale products, he said.

The promotion started Wednesday and is valid through the end of June, Reid said.
