TeraSky specializes in giving customers solutions to complex infrastructure, platform engineering, and DevOps challenges, it wrote in a statement.

“At TeraSky, we’re laser-focused on empowering businesses with innovative solutions, and it is a source of pride that Eli will lead us in bringing this value proposition to an even broader audience,” Ofir Abekasis, TeraSky’s CEO wrote in a statement. “His proven track record of success, leadership skills, and deep understanding of the enterprise software landscape and our target market will be instrumental in propelling us to even greater heights.”

Shacked spent more than 11 years at the Palo Alto, Calif.-based virtualization giant, rising from strategic account manager to managing director of VMware Israel before taking his U.S. role as VMware Vice President Strategic, North-East, working in the multibillion-dollar North-East Coast US market.

TeraSky wrote that Shacked revitalized his team, exceeding sales targets and propelling it to become the top-performing region within VMware’s Americas Strategic Business. In 2023, he was recognized as VMware’s “global sales leader of the year,” TeraSky said.

More than 250 people wished him well in his new role including many of his former VMware colleagues.

“I’m honored and excited to join TeraSky in this time of growth and expansion,” Shacked wrote in a statement. “The company’s extensive experience and expertise in the rapidly evolving cloud native and application modernization markets, combined with the growth of the local operations in the United States, UK, EU, and Israel, present a great opportunity for our customers and partners.”

TeraSky is a Tel Aviv, Israel-based solutions integrator that provides both enterprise-grade infrastructure along with cloud-native agility and velocity, the company said in a statement.

The company has about 200 employees in four offices around the world including New York, London, Tel Aviv, Israel and Vilnius, Lithuania.

TeraSky is among the thousands of resellers invited to continue selling VMware through the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program. The company retained its pinnacle partner ranking. Some partners were not invited to return to the program following Broadcom’s $69 billion acquisition of VMware.

“As a long-standing and leading VMware partner, TeraSky has established a deep understanding and expertise in their solutions,” the company wrote in a press release on Feb. 5. “Becoming a Broadcom Advantage Partner – an invitation-only program – is a natural evolution, allowing us to seamlessly integrate our existing VMware knowledge with the broader spectrum of Broadcom’s offerings.”

TeraSky was also recently named a Pure Storage Elite Partner. TeraSky said its Pure Storage business gives its employees enhanced training opportunities, and customers robust field support.
