Midsize CIOs Reward Vendors At MES Show
MES Awards
Everything Channel presented seven awards at its recent Midsize Enterprise Summit conference in San Antonio, Texas. The awards were voted on by midsize CIOs in attendance, who were asked to vote for their favorite technology showcased at the conference. Here are the results.
Best Midmarket Solution -- Hardware
TriGeo Network Security captured the most votes for best hardware solution designed for a midmarket company. Other nominees were Compellent, HP/Intel and LifeSize. Here, the TriGeo team shows off their new piece of hardware.
Best Midmarket Solution -- Software
Information Builders won the software solution award, besting fellow nominees Birst, CommVault and ShoreTel. The Information Builders team poses with their award, held by Kevin Quinn, vice president of marketing.
Best Midmarket Solution -- Services

Best Execution Of Midmarket IT Solution -- ShoreTel
ShoreTel won the best execution award, beating out other nominees Google, LifeSize and TriGeo Network Security. Everything Channel's Lisa MacKenzie presents the award to ShoreTel's Sam Koury.
Best Presentation -- Samsung

Breakthrough Technology Vendor -- LifeSize
LifeSize captured the award for best breakthrough technology. CIOs were impressed by the vendor's affordable high-def video conferencing solution. Other nominees were CommVault, ShoreTel and TriGeo Network Security. Best of Show -- TriGeo
TriGeo capped off the evening by winnings its second award of the night, the Best in Show award given to the company judged by CIOs as having the best overall technology and execution. Other nominees were HP/Intel, LifeSize and ShoreTel. Michelle Dickman, president and CEO of TriGeo, is flanked by Everything Channel's Robert DeMarzo and Lisa MacKenzie.
A Real Mouthful
After the awards, comedian Andy Gross entertained the crowd by drawing several attendees on stage. Here, TriGeo's Rob Johnson, got to play a ventriloquist's puppet thanks to a fake, movable mouth.
