Sanyo Partners With Tech Data
Sanyo North America is partnering with Tech Data to carry LCD and DLP projectors to help Sanyo expand its presence in the VAR and SMB distribution channels.
Sanyo's projector solutions incorporate features and benefits ideal for Tech Data's SMB and VAR client base, according to the vendor, offering flexibility in viewing environments that range from small meeting rooms to large commercial spaces and campus environments.
Acronis Signs With Ingram Micro
Ingram Micro is now carrying backup, recovery and security solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments from Acronis.
Under the new alliance, Ingram Micro's solution provider customers will have access to a wider range of data protection and business continuity programs through the distributor's Advanced Computing Division.
"Demand for, and adoption of, data backup and recovery solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments is growing within small and midsize organizations, as well as enterprises," said Diane Lees, senior category manager for virtualization and enterprise software, Ingram Micro, in a statement. "Acronis' backup, recovery and virtualization solutions offer the features and capabilities these organizations are looking for when it comes to data protection, virtualization and disaster recovery."
Arrow Electronics Signs Distribution Deal With Exosite
Arrow Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with Exosite, a machine-to-machine (M2M) application and cloud computing software company.
Solution providers can have access to Exosite’s cloud-based data platform for M2M applications, providing data acquisition, back-haul and storage capabilities, and monitoring and management of connected devices. Exosite’s Platform connects people with their devices and systems, allowing for real-time remote management of assets and processes. ’Exosite is a strategic addition to Arrow’s M2M solutions and services strategy,’ said Jeff Eastman, senior vice president of global supplier marketing and asset management for Arrow Electronics. ’Today’s product design requirements don’t end with the software running on the product. Our customers need end-to-end connectivity to visualize, deliver and react to the data from their products, and we can provide that functionality with Exosite.’
Avnet Technology Solutions Teams With Lincor Solutions
Avnet Technology Solutions has inked a deal with Lincor Solutions to become a distributor for Lincor’s hospital point-of-care clinical access and entertainment system, MEDIVista. Under the agreement, Avnet will accelerate Lincor’s market penetration in the U.S. into the rapidly growing healthcare market through its HealthPath practice. Avnet will distribute MEDIVista and provide integration services to qualified VARs supporting the U.S. healthcare market.
Lincor’s MEDIVista system enables secure access to electronic health records (EHR), clinical applications, language translation services, patient education, meal management and bed management at the point-of-patient care. Outside of its clinical role, patients can use its simple touchscreen interface to easily access a wealth of digital entertainment from their bedside, including television, movies on-demand, Internet, e-mail, games, audio books, Webcam and telephony.
ScanSource Adds LifeSafety Power
ScanSource recently added LifeSafety Power's power systems for the security market, according to the distributor.
ScanSource Security VARs can now resell power supply systems created specifically for the security industry and featuring a unique modular design. This family of products, called FlexPower, allows for a number of system configurations, including single, dual or multi voltage outputs. The products were developed to provide reliability and shorter install time, while remaining cost effective.
D&H Signs Deals With Manhattan And Intellinet Network Solutions
Manhattan and Intellinet Network Solutions entered into a distribution agreement with D&H Distributing. D&H will carry products from both Manhattan’s PC peripheral and accessory lines, and Intellinet’s active, passive and IP security offerings.
"D&H is excited to partner with Manhattan and Intellinet, in order to deliver a greater selection of fine technologies in the computing and peripherals categories. We expect to help both companies penetrate a wider set of resellers," said Rob Eby, vice president of purchasing at D&H Distributing.
