US Is Tops In Health-care IT Adoption
The United States is a leader in health-care IT use and adoption by physicians, according to a new eight-country study from Accenture. The Accenture study, Connected Health: The Drive to Integrated Healthcare Delivery, analyzes how countries and health systems are applying systematic approaches to health-care IT. The United States performed above several countries in the use of health-care IT and was a leader in many capabilities of health-care information exchanges, including e-prescribing, computerized physician order entry, e-referrals and administrative tools.
Former GTSI CEO Back In the Saddle At Paragon
Scott Friedlander, who less than a year ago left GTSI to prevent the contractor from a Small Business Administration suspension, is back in business. Friedlander has bought into a majority stake in Paragon Technology Group, a government contractor based in Vienna, Va., working with the backing of the private equity group LLR Partners. Friedlander’s title will be president and CEO.
Cognizant Wins Multimillion Dollar Retail Deal
Cognizant has won a five-year, multimillion dollar, engagement with Future Group to provide end-to-end IT infrastructure services. Future is one of India's largest retail companies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
VMware Honors Logicalis
Logicalis has been named the Americas recipient of a VMware Partner Network Award in the National Partner of the Year category. The award was presented at VMware Partner Exchange 2012, VMware’s annual partner event, this week in Las Vegas.
ePlus Gets Gold Star From Cisco
Cisco is recognizing ePlus for delivering outstanding customer service to its U.S. customers. It is the seventh time ePlus has won the distinction. Cisco measures the customer satisfaction levels achieved by its Gold, Silver and Premier Certified partners based on regional target goals, providing a weighted average of a partner's presales and postsales support during a rolling 12-month period. Partners that achieve outstanding customer satisfaction are awarded the Customer Satisfaction Excellence Gold Star.
