Here's a look at some of the channel's best-paid lieutenants.
No. 35: Drew Morin, SVP, CTO, TeleCommunication Systems (TCS)
Total Compensation: $1.0 Million
A 24-year veteran of TCS, Morin handles the technical direction, coordination and development activities across the company’s business units. He has experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of integrated communication systems for government as well as commercial sector applications.
No. 34: Stephen V.R. Whitman, General Counsel, SS&C
Total Compensation: $1.0 Million
Whitman has served in his present role since 2002. Previously, he was an attorney for PA Consulting Group, a management consulting company headquartered in the United Kingdom.
No. 33: H. Lynn Moore, Jr., EVP, General Counsel, Tyler Technologies
Total Compensation: $1.0 Million
Moore has been general counsel of Tyler since September 1998, Secretary since October 2000 and Executive Vice President since February 2008. He previously served as Vice President from October 2000 until February 2008.
No. 32: Brian K. Miller, EVP, CFO, Treasurer, Tyler Technologies
Total Compensation: $1.0 Million
Miller became Tyler’s EVP/CFO/treasurer in February 2008. He was the solution provider's SVP and CFO beginning in April 2005 and had served as Vice President - Finance and Treasurer from May 1999. Miller was VP/Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer from December 1997 to April 1999.
No. 31: Thomas M. Brandt, Jr., SVP, CFO, TeleCommunication Systems (TCS)
Total Compensation: $1.0 Million
Brandt is in charge of the company’s financial management, reporting, controls, accounting and administration. He joined the company in 1997. Previously, he served as CFO of Internet service provider Digex, where he helped drive an initial public offering.
No. 30: Stephen A. Speidel, SVP Operations, SVP, Insight Enterprises
Total Compensation: $1.1 Million
As operations officer, Speidel established performance indicators, operating goals, realignment initiatives, productivity improvements and cost reduction programs that improved output, quality and customer satisfaction. (Speidel has left Insight and is now Chief Executive Advisor at Veritra, a professional services company.)
No. 29: Mark Marron, COO, ePlus
Total Compensation: $1.1 Million
Marron was appointed COO, a newly created position, and President of ePlus, in 2010. He has served as SVP of sales at the company since joining in 2005. Marron has 20 years of industry experience.
No. 28: Kevin Wright, SVP, Operations, CIO, Softchoice
Total Compensation: $1.2 Million
Wright is responsible for the support and development of Softchoice's IT infrastructure. He oversees upgrades made to the reliability, flexibility and efficiency of the solution provider's systems, internally as well as through the Softchoice Web tools.
No. 27: Nick Foster, SVP, Business Development, Softchoice
Total Compensation: $1.2 Million
As SVP, Foster is responsible for the development of the Company’s go-to-market strategy. Foster coordinates internal presales and marketing resources with customers' needs. Prior to this role, Foster served as Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and successfully led the integration of three companies. Foster joined Softchoice in 1994.
No. 26: David Long, SVP, Finance and CFO, Softchoice
Total Compensation: $1.3 Million
Long has oversight for treasury, corporate governance, financial planning and associated operations functions. He is in charge of optimizing Softchoice's capital structure to support the company's future growth. Long has held a number of senior leadership positions within the technology and telecommunications industry and began his career at Nortel Networks.
No. 25: Kenneth P. Davis, VP - Voice Communications North, Europe and Latin America, Black Box
Total Compensation: $1.2 Million
Davis is responsible for Black Box's Latin America and Europe business. In addition, he leads the operations of the company's Voice Services North business and the Midwest, Southern California and Pacific Northwest divisions. He started his career with Black Box in 1997.
No. 24: Theodore P. Schrafft, President, Premiere Global Services
Total Compensation: $1.3 Million
Schrafft has been president since July 2006 and is responsible for all PGi's operations. He has more than 25 years experience in the technology and business communications industries. Schrafft previously served in various capacities with the company, most recently as president of the company’s former Conferencing and Collaboration solution.
No. 23: Steve Leslie, SVP, Sales and Marketing, Softchoice
Total Compensation: $1.4 Million
As SVP, Leslie heads up the management of Softchoice’s sales organization. Before taking on that role in early 2007, he was VP of Sales and Marketing, where he was crucial to enhancing Softchoice's account coverage strategy. He also integrated the company’s sales and marketing efforts at the national and local levels. Leslie joined Softchoice in 2003 as VP of sales.
No. 22: Richard A. Young, EVP, COO, TeleCommunication Systems (TCS)
Total Compensation: $1.3 Million
Young manages and oversees all day-to-day operations within TCS. He has been directly involved with the solution provider's acquisitions since going public in 2000. He joined TCS in 1992, and he has extensive expertise in technology management, with in-depth technical experience in hardware and software life-cycle program management.
No. 21: David M. Guthrie, CTO, Premiere Global Services
Total Compensation: $1.4 Million
Guthrie has been CTO since 2004 and is responsible for global technology initiatives, including product management, research and development, strategic partnerships, Web development and operations. He was previously PGi's Chief Strategy Officer from February 2003 to February 2004.
No. 20: Stuart A. Fenton, President - EMEA, Insight Enterprises
Total Compensation: $1.4 Million
Fenton has more than 20 years of executive experience in the IT industry. He heads the international arm of Insight Enterprises' IT solutions business, comprising 22 countries with more than $1.5 billion in sales. Fenton is responsible for a staff of 1,500, and for driving new business, managing costs and increasing growth.
No. 19: Patrick Cogny, SVP, Manufacturing and Services, Genpact
Total Compensation: $1.4 Million
While Cogny was SVP, he also served as CEO of Genpact Europe Operations, a position he held since 2005. Previously he worked in a number of capacities for General Electric. (Cogny became president of Genpact manufacturing and services in May.)
No. 18: Dustin R. Womble, EVP, Tyler Technologies
Total Compensation: $1.4 Million
Womble has been the solution provider's EVP in charge of the company's product strategy since July 2003. In July 2006, he took on the role of Chief Executive Officer for the Courts and Justice Division and the Local Government Division. He has served on the Tyler Board of Directors since May 2005.
No. 17: Patrick J. Pedonti, CFO, SS&C Technologies
Total Compensation: $1.6 Million
Pedonti was appointed to his current position in August 2002. In this role, his responsibilities include financial reporting and controls, in addition to operational and cost improvements. He previously served as SS&C's VP and treasurer.
No. 16: Glynis A. Bryan, CFO, Insight Enterprises
Total Compensation: $1.7 Million
Bryan has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry, particularly in global financial planning and analysis, and in developing and maintaining relationships with financial stakeholders. She has been CFO since 2007, leading the company's finance and accounting functions including accounting/control, tax, treasury, risk management and investor communications. She is responsible for setting the company's financial strategies and serving as a financial and business advisor to the leadership team.
No. 15: Steven Schwartz, SVP General Counsel, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $1.9 Million
Schwartz is responsible on a global basis for managing all of Cognizant's legal services, including major contract negotiations, SEC compliance and implementation of confidentiality and intellectual property policies. In addition, he is responsible for providing legal counsel regarding the solution provider's strategic direction and overall business objectives. Schwartz runs the company's government affairs and compliance functions.
No. 14: Cynthia A. Russo, EVP, CFO, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $2.2 Million
Russo became CFO in 2010, taking over from Gary C. Kaufman, who held the position for 16 years. She has held various positions within MICROS, including corporate controller and SVP, since joining as a senior accountant in 1996.
No. 13: Michael J. Mancuso, VP, CFO, Computer Sciences Corp.
Total Compensation: $2.4 Million
Mancuso was CFO and VP from Dec. 1, 2008, to May 23, 2012, when he retired from CSC. In that role, he was responsible for financial management, consolidation and reporting, information systems and real estate.
No. 12: William M. Fairl, President, U.S. Operations, CACI International
Total Compensation: $3.0 Million
In his current role, Fairl focuses on accelerating CACI's mergers and acquisitions activity. He also provides executive oversight, including customer interaction, for the company's major recompetes (contracts the company wins a second time). Previously, Fairl served as CACI President of U.S. Operations, responsible for CACI's domestic, federal, and state and local markets, including homeland security projects.
No. 11: Normand Boulanger, President, COO, SS&C Technologies
Total Compensation: $3.3 Million
Boulanger has served in his current capacity since October 2004. Earlier, he was SS&C's EVP and COO, and he held a number of executive positions within the company. He has been on SS&C's directors since February 2006. Prior to joining the solution provider, Boulanger was Manager of Investment Accounting for The Travelers.
No. 10: Stefan Piringer, EVP, Asia-Pacific, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $3.7 Million
Before his current role, Piringer served as president and EVP in the Asia Pacific region for MICROS. In 2000, he was appointed president and COO of MICROS subsidiary hotelBANK. Piringer joined MICROS in 1994.
No. 9: Ramakrishnan Chandrasekaran, President and Managing Director, Global Delivery, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $3.7 Million
Chandrasekaran served as the President of Global Delivery of Cognizant from August 2, 2006, to February 6, 2012. Previously, he was Managing Director of Global Delivery. Chandrasekaran has more than 20 years of industry experience. This year, he became Group Chief Executive of Technology and Operations at the solution provider.
No. 8: Thomas L. Patz, EVP, Strategic Initiatives, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $4.2 Million
Patz has been in his current position since 2000. He joined MICROS five years earlier as General Counsel, and a year later was promoted to VP and General Counsel. He was promoted to SVP in September 1999, and by the following January, he earned his current title.
No. 7: Kaweh Niroomand, EVP, Europe-Africa-Middle East Region, MICROS Systems
Total Compensation: $4.3 Million
Niroomand has been a MICROS top exec since 1995. He was appointed President of MICROS Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) in 2005. Previously, Niroomand was EVP, EAME and Managing Director of MICROS-Fidelio Software Deutschland GmbH.
No. 6: Alexander M. van't Noordende, Group Chief Executive - Management Consulting, Accenture
Total Compensation: $4.7 Million
Van’t Noordende served as Accenture's Group Chief Executive - Resources until March 1, 2011, when he became Group Chief Executive - Management Consulting. He is responsible for the company’s capabilities and services for analytics, customer relationship management, finance and enterprise performance, strategy, operations, risk management, sustainability, and talent and organization. Van’t Noordende is also a member of Accenture's Global Management Committee.
No. 5: Robert N. Frerichs, Group Chief Executive - North America, Accenture
Total Compensation: $4.8 Million
Frerichs served as Group Chief Executive - North America until August 31, 2011, when he became an International Chairman. Frerichs retired from Accenture on February 29, 2012.
No. 4: Rajeev Mehta, COO, Global Client Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $5.1 Million
Mehta is responsible for leading Cognizant's industry vertical and geographic market operations globally. His focus is on working with clients to help clients build stronger businesses. Mehta joined Cognizant in 1997.
No. 3: Gordon J. Coburn, CFO, COO, Treasurer, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Total Compensation: $6.2 Million
Gordon manages Cognizant's overall profit and loss. He has served as Cognizant's CFO and COO, responsible for worldwide financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury/tax, audit and investor relations functions. As COO, he oversaw the solution provider's global talent organization, as well as its internal technology and infrastructure. He joined Cognizant in 1996 and served as CFO through its IPO in 1998.
No. 2: Kevin M. Campbell, Group Chief Executive - Technology, Accenture
Total Compensation: $6.6 Million
Campbell served as Group Chief Executive - Outsourcing until August 31, 2009, when he became Accenture's Group Chief Executive - Technology. He left the company in March, for "personal reasons."
No. 1: Pamela J. Craig, CFO, Accenture
Total Compensation: $6.9 Million
As CFO, Craig's responsibilities include the corporate controllership, treasury, tax, and investor relations functions. She also leads the client finance and commercial directors; finance operations; corporate development and transaction services; and strategic planning and analysis. Craig has been active in the advancement and retention of women at Accenture, supporting the consultancy's senior women and emerging leaders globally. In 2008, she received the National Council for Research on Women’s "Making a Difference for Women Award."
