CES 2019: Lenovo Launches 3 Smart Devices With Alexa And Google Assistant
Latest In Smart Devices
One key theme emerging at CES 2019 in Las Vegas is that this may be the year that voice assistants truly branch out beyond smart speakers and smartphones. And one of the companies helping to drive the trend is Lenovo, which on Tuesday unveiled three new smart devices that bring leading voice assistants to new form factors--including two Android tablets and a digital alarm clock. And Lenovo isn't playing favorites, either, with both Amazon's Alexa and the Google Assistant in the mix.
What follows are the key details on Lenovo's three new smart devices announced at CES 2019.
Lenovo Smart Tab M10
Lenovo is unveiling a new concept in its tablet line at CES 2019 with the introduction of the Lenovo Smart Tab M10, an Android tablet that features the Amazon Alexa voice assistant built in and comes included with a presentation/charging dock. That gives it the ability to serve the functions of both a typical tablet as well as that of display assistant devices such as the Amazon Echo Show. The Smart Tab M10 tablet features a 10.1-inch FHD display, 4,850 mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, choices between 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM and options between 16 GB and 32 GB of storage. The Smart Tab M10 also includes two front-facing Dolby Atmos speakers and a rear 5-megapixel camera, and its body features a slate black color with a "soft-touch" finish. The tablet measures 0.31 of an inch thick and weighs 1.05 pounds.
The Lenovo Smart Tab M10 is available in January for $199.99.
Lenovo Smart Tab P10
The Lenovo Smart Tab P10 also has Amazon Alexa built in and comes with the charging dock, and essentially serves as a higher-end version of the M10 model. The P10 offers the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor but has a larger battery (7,000 mAh), more RAM (4 GB) and more storage (up to 64 GB), as well as four front-facing Dolby Atmos speakers. The Smart Tab P10 also includes a rear 8-megapixel camera, fingerprint sensor and an Aurora Black color with a glass design. Additionally, the tablet is slightly thinner and lighter, measuring 0.27 of an inch thick and weighing 0.97 of a pound.
The Lenovo Smart Tab P10 is available in January for $299.99.
Lenovo Smart Clock
Lenovo's third new smart device debut at CES 2019, the Lenovo Smart Clock, also features a built-in voice assistant--but in this case, it's the Google Assistant rather than Amazon's Alexa. The Smart Clock features a 4-inch touch screen with customizable clock faces, enabling both touch and Google Assistant voice control for functions such as alarms, music and managing your calendar. The device also offers a "full-range" 6W speaker and two passive radiators, along with Dolby background noise reduction technology.
The Lenovo Smart Clock is available this spring for $79.99.
