McAfee's Top 10 Most Dangerous Celebrity Searches

1. Cameron Diaz

OK, so she was great in "There's Something About Mary" as the object of Brett Favre's affections, but Web surfers should resist the urge to look for photos of her online. According to McAfee, searching "Cameron Diaz" will take Web surfers to a risky site 10 percent of the time, while "Cameron Diaz and screen savers" results in being steered to Web sites with malicious downloads 19 percent of the time.

That makes Diaz the most dangerous celebrity search out there, according to McAfee.

2. Julia Roberts

Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts is once again in the Hollywood spotlight with her movie "Eat, Pray, Love," although the romantic comedy is getting hammered mercilessly by film critics.

Searching her name will take you to dodgy Websites 9 percent of the time, while searching "Julia Roberts and downloads" will get you infected with malware 20 percent of the time, according to McAfee.

We're not sure why anyone would go out looking for a Julia Roberts screen saver but, hey, it's a great big world out there. Want to see Julia at her best? Give the Web search a pass and check out "Erin Brockovich."

3. Jessica Biel

McAfee's reigning "Most Dangerous Celebrity" has apparently fallen out of the public eye just a smidge, dropping two slots but still maintaining a pretty strong amount of risk to Web surfers.

Biel was in "The A-Team" remake earlier this year, and the curious public continues to be fascinated by the nuances of her stormy relationship with Justin Timberlake. Searching her name results in risky results 9 percent of the time, while "Jessica Biel and screen savers" raises that risk to 17 percent, according to McAfee.

4. Gisele Bundchen

She's the world's highest-paid supermodel but, more importantly, she's married to a three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback. Gisele moved up two slots this year, and daredevils that search "Gisele Bundchen and screen savers" will happen upon a malicious Website 15 percent of the time, according to McAfee.

Don't even think about it, unless you like spending a frustrating afternoon ridding your machine of malware.

5. Brad Pitt

Let's face it: We're a Brad Pitt-loving nation. Women love him, of course, but guys are also growing to appreciate his multifaceted acting skills. Oh, and his wife ain't too bad either.

But when it comes to Web searches, the first rule is: Don't search for Brad Pitt screen savers. And also be extremely careful about clicking on any searches that are returned when searching his name. Pitt moved up five spots in the past year, according to McAfee.

6. Adriana Lima

This Brazilian supermodel, a Victoria's Secret model since 2000, would probably look just as stunning in a screen saver as she does in real life. But unless you want your PC to become a playground for global hacker syndicates, you'd best resist the temptation to go searching for her on the Web.

7. Jennifer Love Hewitt (tie)

Hewitt rose to fame as a teen actress in "Party Of Five", but it won't be a party for those who hit the Web in search of Jennifer Love Hewitt screen savers. Hewitt and Nicole Kidman shared the No. 7 spot in McAfee's Most Dangerous Celebrity Searches listing this year.

7. Nicole Kidman (tie)

Kidman may have slipped a bit when it comes to blockbuster films, but she's still got plenty of fans willing to go to great lengths to find Web content that bears her name. Only problem is, these searches can sometimes end up badly, like that creepy party in "Eyes Wide Shut." Kidman shared the No. 7 spot in this year's McAfee ranking with Jennifer Love Hewitt.

8. Tom Cruise

Sure, he's turned into a bit of a weirdo in recent years, jumping around on Oprah's couch and stuff, but Tom Cruise still holds plenty of interest for Web surfers.

Cruise co-starred with Cameron Diaz earlier this year in "Knight And Day," and he made people stop ridiculing him with his amazing rendition of his Les Grossman character from "Tropic Thunder." As a result, Cruise came in No.8 in this year's McAfee ranking.

9. Heidi Klum (tie)

Klum, host of the "Project Runway" television show and the wife of pop singer Seal, came in at No. 9 in this year's McAfee survey. Want your machine loaded up with malware? Go ahead and see what happens when you search for Heidi Klum screen savers. Don't say you weren't warned, though.

9. Penelope Cruz (tie)

Cruz shares the No. 9 spot with Klum in this year's McAfee ranking. She got rave reviews for her role in "Sex and the City 2" and she's expected to appear in the forthcoming fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. And does anyone remember Cruz stealing the show in Woody Allen's 2008 film "Vicky Cristina Barcelona?"

Cruz is a great actress, but malware is no make-believe threat for those foolhardy souls who might consider downloading a screen saver bearing her name.

10. Anna Paquin

Paquin, who stars in the HBO vampire series ’True Blood,’ devours her prey with devilish efficiency, and screen savers bearing her name will be just as ruthless to your PC. Problem is, garlic and crucifixes won't work against malware. Paquin came in 10th in this year's McAfee ranking.
