Get Your Hands On HP's TouchSmart tx2
Hewlett-Packard Wednesday introduced the HP TouchSmart tx2, HP's first convertible notebook incorporating touch-screen technology available to consumers.
The TouchSmart tx2 weighs in at less than 4.5 pounds, has a 12.1-inch screen and is powered by either the AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor or the AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor. It comes loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium and is priced starting at $1,149.
With the convertible twist hinge design, consumers can use the tx2 as a traditional notebook or a Tablet PC. With a rechargeable digital ink pen, users can write directly on the screen and the handwriting is automatically converted to text.
The TouchSmart tx2 features the HP MediaSmart software bundle, allowing users easy access to all types of media. For ease of use, the tx2 comes with an integrated remote control.
