Azure Stack HCI OEM License Bundle, Simple and Scalable

Dell and Microsoft have teamed up to transform hybrid cloud management with a one-time, fixed-price software license bundle. The Azure Stack HCI OEM license bundle simplifies and reduces cost of deploying hybrid cloud environments. This perpetual license eliminates reoccurring renewals, making it budget friendly and future proof.

“It's a single upfront cost, which offers significant price advantages, and it doesn't need recurring renewals. It's also pre-installed, making the procurement process easy, budget friendly and it's available for unlimited usage throughout the life of that,” said Matt McSpirit, senior principal engineering technologist at Dell Technologies and Microsoft Azure MVP.

This innovative end-to-end solution is being offered to customers in two ways which are designed to elevate the Azure Stack HCI experience with on-premises infrastructure and unique integration automation and expert support.

“We'll offer it on the Dell APEX Cloud Platform for Microsoft Azure. This is collaboratively engineered between Dell and Microsoft to provide a single turnkey hybrid cloud solution for extending and optimizing Azure on-prem,” said McSpirit. “We'll also offer this new license with the Dell Integrated System for Azure Stack HCI, which is our tightly integrated Azure Stack HCI offering that's certified and backed by Dell Engineering.”

The new solution speeds up application delivery, optimizes workload placement, and scales easily. For customers preferring a CapEx model, the OEM SKU is priced per physical core, allowing the license to scale with growth.

“Now this approach ensures that as you expand your infrastructure, your licensing grows with you, which provides a lot of flexibility and ultimately cost predictability,” said McSpirit. “Customers can purchase this option from Dell at the point of sale.”
