M&A Streak: All Of Accenture’s Acquisitions In 2024

‘Over the last decade, we have built a finely tuned acquisition capability, becoming known in the market as a good home with approximately 75 percent, on average, of our acquisitions sole-sourced,’ says Stuart Nicholl, global lead of Accenture Corporate Development.

With 39 acquisitions in 2024, Accenture saw no slowdown when it came to the solution provider’s M&A streak.

“Last [fiscal] year we invested $6.6 billion across 46 acquisitions. We announced in our last earnings call that we expect to invest about $3 billion in acquisitions this fiscal year,” Stuart Nicholl, global lead of Accenture Corporate Development, told CRN via email.

Accenture’s fiscal year runs from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.

“Over the last decade, we have built a finely tuned acquisition capability, becoming known in the market as a good home with approximately 75 percent, on average, of our acquisitions sole-sourced,” Nicholl said. “While our ability to identify and evaluate our acquisitions is critical, it is our ability to integrate them successfully that has made our acquisition capability so formidable.”

He said Accenture, No. 1 on the CRN 2024 Solution Provider 500 list, carries out acquisitions to ultimately drive organic growth.

“Our global footprint, deep client relationships across industries, as well as strong ecosystem gives us a unique perspective on growth opportunities,” he said. “We use acquisitions to scale quickly in growth areas, to build new skills in adjacent markets and to deepen our technology, industry and functional expertise.”

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

For Accenture’s fourth quarter and full fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31, new bookings of $20.1 billion were reported, with a record of $81.2 billion for the full year. Generative AI new bookings were $1 billion for the quarter and $3 billion for the full year. The fourth quarter also saw revenue of $16.4 billion, an increase of 3 percent in U.S. dollars.

On Monday, Accenture stock was $356.47 per share, up about $10 from the start of 2024.

39. 6point6

6point6 is a London-based technology consultancy that specializes in cloud, data and cybersecurity. The company enhances Accenture’s strategy and architecture capabilities with a specific focus on central government, defense and security and financial services.

About 400 technologists came over in the acquisition, completed in January, to serve Accenture client needs across the U.K.

38. OnProcess Technology

OnProcess Technology is a Boston-based provider of supply chain managed services. The company helps organizations refine processes, improve inventory management and solve complex service challenges.

The company specializes in reverse logistics and after-market and service supply chain, creating more circular operations by leveraging automation, AI and data-led decision-making. More than 1,500 employees came over in the acquisition, which was completed in January.

37. Vocatus

Munich-based Vocatus uses behavioral economics modeling to build pricing strategies and sales concepts for B2B and B2C models. The acquisition, which was completed in January, strengthens Accenture’s modeling capabilities for European clients.

More than 50 team members joined Accenture’s Corporate Strategy, Growth and Pricing practice.

36. Work & Co.

Work & Co. is a New York-based global digital product company that merges design, technology and innovation to help companies create innovative products and experiences. The acquisition, unveiled in January, reinforces the continued investment by Accenture Song, which creates new ways for its clients to grow while meeting their customers' changing needs.

About 400 employees across the U.S., Europe and Latin America will join Accenture Song.

35. Navisite

Navisite is a New York-based digital transformation and managed services provider. The company scales Accenture’s application and infrastructure managed services capabilities to help clients across North America modernize their IT for the AI era.

The Andover, Mass.-based company brought about 1,500 employees to Accenture’s infrastructure engineering practice to help clients accelerate their cloud transformation.

34. Impendi

Impendi is a sourcing and procurement services provider with a focus on private equity clients, which will expand a critical capability to Accenture’s growing offerings.

New York-based Impendi helps private equity organizations with sourcing and procurement decisions that increase their profitability and improve the bottom line of their portfolio companies. About 130 team members in the U.S. and India came over in the acquisition, which was unveiled in January.

33. Ammagamma

Italy-based Ammagamma helps companies advance their scope of AI and generative AI technologies. This acquisition, completed in January, is part of Accenture’s $3 billion investment to scale clients’ transformation through the large-scale application of AI.

More than 90 AI experts joined Accenture, including engineers, mathematicians, economists, historians, philosophers and designers.

32. Insight Sourcing

Atlanta-based Insight Sourcing is a provider of strategic sourcing and procurement services. The company broadens Accenture’s sourcing and procurement services for private equity companies and in the consumer goods, retail, technology and industrial industries.

The company strengthens Accenture with expertise in cost takeout strategy powered by category and supplier market intelligence. About 220 sourcing consultants joined Accenture’s sourcing and procurement practice.

31. GemSeek

GemSeek is a customer experience analytics provider helping businesses worldwide understand customers through insight, analytics and AI-powered predictive models. The acquisition, unveiled in February, compliments Accenture’s ongoing investment by Accenture Song.

Based in Bulgaria, GemSeek brings more than 170 employees working across Bulgaria and the U.K. who will join Accenture Song to grow its footprint across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

30. Mindcurv

Mindcurv is a cloud-native digital experience and data analytics company that specializes in composable software, digital engineering and commerce services.

Based in Essen, Germany, Mindcurv brought more than 700 experts over in the acquisition, unveiled in February, based across 13 locations including the Netherlands, Spain and India. Team members will join Accenture Song’s commerce practice.

29. Jixie

Jixie is a media and marketing technology company, which will be integrated into Accenture to strengthen its marketing transformation capabilities and resources through Accenture Song. Based in Singapore, Jixie will help Indonesian clients deliver personalized experiences to enhance customer engagement for business growth.

The integration of Jixie’s platform into Accenture Song’s marketing capabilities will help clients enhance customer data effectively and efficiently into actionable insight. The number of employees coming over in the acquisition was not disclosed.

28. The Lumery

The Lumery is a Melbourne, Australia-based marketing technology consultancy that helps organizations deliver seamless customer experiences and marketing services. The acquisition, unveiled in March, strengthens the marketing transformation capabilities of Accenture Song.

About 80 people across Melbourne, Sydney and Bengaluru, India, were set to join Accenture Song’s marketing practice.

27. Udacity

Udacity is a Mountain View, Calif.-based digital education firm with expertise in the development and delivery of proprietary technology courses that merge the flexibility of online learning with the benefits of human instruction.

More than 230 professionals were set to join Accenture LearnVantage, which provides Accenture’s clients with comprehensive technology learning and training services.

26. Arns Group

Arηs Group is a Luxembourg-based technology services provider focused on supporting public sector transformation across Europe. The acquisition, unveiled in March, will further Accenture’s public service offering.

With more than 2,330 team members across Luxembourg, Belgium and Greece, Arns Group focuses on work with the European Union such as the EU Commission and its various institutions and member state organizations.

25. Flo Group

Flo Group, a European consultancy and Oracle business partner specializing in global supply chain logistics, was acquired in March. The acquisition further bolsters Accenture’s Oracle capabilities in Europe to help clients build more resilient and agile supply chains that provide end-to-end visibility.

Based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with offices in Argentina and India, Flo brings 280 people to Accenture’s Oracle Business Group to enhance its capabilities to help clients design their digital core.

24. Intellera Consulting

Intellera Consulting is an Italy-based consulting firm that operates in the public administration and health-care sectors. The acquisition, unveiled in April, aligns with Accenture’s continued focus on helping Italian public service organizations enhance and transform their citizen services.

Intellera Consulting brings along a team of more than 1,400 employees working to facilitate the use of EU funds across the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

23. Climb

Climb is a Tokyo-based technology services provider specializing in systems integration, IT infrastructure management and operations. The acquisition of Climb, unveiled in April, brings critical skills for global organizations in Japan to navigate technology change.

About 200 engineers proficient in cloud, security technologies and application management services are joining Accenture Technology.

22. Axis Corporate

Axis Corporate, a Spanish management and technology business consulting firm specializing in financial services, was set to join Accenture in April. Axis Corporate bolsters Accenture’s strategy and technology offerings that allow companies in Spain to reinvent their business models.

Axis Corporate brings about 110 specialized professionals to join Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting practice.

21. Unlimited

Unlimited, a London-based integrated customer engagement agency, will become part of Accenture Song. The acquisition will enhance Accenture Song’s capability to scale its offerings around generative AI.

With expertise in behavioral science, customer strategy and CRM activation, the acquisition of Unlimited enhances Accenture Song's capabilities to drive marketing transformation, relevance and growth for its clients. About 600 employees came over in the deal.

20. Cognosante

Accenture Federal Services acquired Cognosante, an Arlington, Va.-based provider of digital transformation and cloud modernization solutions for federal health, defense, intelligence and civilian agencies.

More than 1,500 employees will join Accenture Federal Services’ more than 14,000 people.

19. Parsionate

Parsionate is a Stuttgart, Germany-based data consultancy specializing in data products and modern data foundation services. The company’s services range from data strategy development to technology implementation.

A team of 130 professionals, from data consultants and architects to engineers, will join Accenture Technology’s Data & AI group.

18. Soko

Soko is an independent Brazilian creative agency that develops brand stories. Soko will join creative agency Droga5, deepening the agency’s influence in Brazil while strengthening the market’s brand capabilities within Accenture Song.

Acquired in May, Soko will bring more than 300 employees to Droga5 São Paulo.

17. OpenStream Holdings

OpenStream Holdings, and its subsidiaries Open Stream and Neutral, help clients reinvent their businesses with data-driven digital technologies. The Tokyo-based company will enhance Accenture’s business by bringing a strong client portfolio and automation solutions for the entire product value chain.

The acquisition will add about 1,000 cloud and other digital experts to Accenture’s cloud and digital engineering and manufacturing teams. The team will deepen Accenture’s capabilities to support clients in system and application modernization and help them adopt cloud, data, AI and IoT technologies.

16. Partners in Performance

Partners in Performance is a Sydney-based global strategy consulting firm focusing on business performance improvement in asset-intensive industries leveraging data and AI capabilities. The firm will strengthen Accenture’s offering to clients in industries such as metals and mining, oil and gas, utilities and chemicals.

About 400 Partners in Performance team members will join Accenture Strategy.

15. Teamexpat

Teamexpat is a Netherlands-based embedded software specialist for complex high-tech products and systems. The firm’s software engineering expertise will strengthen Accenture’s connected products capabilities for clients in the semiconductor and manufacturing industries.

The number of employees coming over in the acquisition was not disclosed.

14. Customer Management IT and SirfinPA

Customer Management IT and SirfinPA are a pair of jointly owned Italian consultancies that operate in close synergy and offer innovative services and technology solutions in the justice and public safety sectors.

The acquisition aligns with Accenture’s focus on helping Italian public service agencies build their digital core and deliver enhanced services. The deal, which closed in May, brings over more than 300 professionals to Accenture.

13. FiberMind

Fibermind is an Italy-based network services company specializing in fiber and mobile 5G network deployment and infrastructure engineering services. The acquisition, unveiled in June, will strengthen Accenture’s capabilities in the domain and extend network services to clients across multiple industries.

The company will bring more than 400 professionals to Accenture Operations with expertise in network design, permit management, technical office and local directive project management office work, network acceptance testing, network documentation and home connection.

12. Excelmax

Accenture acquired Bangalore, India-based semiconductor design services firm Excelmax Technologies in July to strengthen Accenture’s growing expertise in silicon design and engineering.

Excelmax specializes in custom silicon solutions that support a range of applications including consumer devices, data centers, AI and edge computing platforms. Its services cater to industries such as automotive, telecommunications and high-tech.

Founded in 2019, Excelmax offers end-to-end semiconductor solutions, from high-level design to detailed physical layouts ready for manufacturing. About 450 employees with expertise in areas such as emulation, automotive, physical design, analog and logic design and verification came over in the acquisition, which bolsters Accenture’s ability to accelerate innovation in edge computing for clients worldwide.

11. True North Solutions

Calgary, Canada-based provider of industrial engineering solutions True North Solutions was acquired in July to enhance Accenture’s ability to help clients in the energy sector improve safety and efficiency in production and transportation.

True North Solutions strengthens Accenture’s capabilities in operational technology for clients in the oil, gas and mining industries. Accenture will also collaborate with True North to design and implement new field operations and facilities.

The acquisition brought a team of 95 experts in automation, instrumentation and electrical engineering to Accenture’s digital engineering and manufacturing division, Industry X.

10. Cientra

Cientra, a New Jersey-based silicon design and engineering services company, brings consulting expertise in embedded IoT and application-specific integrated circuit design and verification capabilities. Cientra will augment Accenture’s silicon design experience and further enhance its ability to help clients accelerate semiconductor innovation required to support increased data computing needs.

The company has deep experience in engineering, development and testing across hardware, software and networks in the automotive, telecommunications and high-tech industries. It has offices in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as in Bangalore, Hyderabad and New Delhi, India and brought over about 530 experienced engineers and practitioners to Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centers in India.

9. Camelot Management Consultants

Accenture acquired Camelot Management Consultants, a German firm specializing in SAP-focused management and technology consulting, with strengths in supply chain, data and analytics.

The acquisition enhanced Accenture’s SAP and AI-driven supply chain capabilities, which help clients build more resilient supply chains. Camelot’s expertise in supply chain management, analytics and data modernization supports the acceleration of AI adoption in client organizations. The firm has clients in industries such as chemicals, life sciences, consumer goods and manufacturing across the globe. More than 700 Camelot team members joined the Accenture team, including SAP, data and supply chain experts.

8. Boslan

Accenture acquired Bilbao, Spain-based Boslan, a provider of management services for large infrastructure projects, that will enable Accenture to enhance the way clients engineer and execute net-zero infrastructure projects by integrating AI and other advanced digital technologies into asset life-cycle management.

More than 1,000 engineering and project management professionals in Spain, Brazil, Portugal, the U.K., the U.S. and Mexico came over in the acquisition. The Boslan team joined Accenture's infrastructure and capital projects practice within its Industry X digital engineering and manufacturing services.

7. Logic

Accenture acquired Minneapolis-based Logic, a retail technology services firm, to strengthen its ability to drive technology transformations for retail clients worldwide. Logic specializes in customer loyalty, revenue growth and agility through technology, offering offers expertise across merchandising, stores, digital, analytics and cloud services.

About 800 professionals joined Accenture and will boost the solution provider’s retail technology offerings, including core technologies, AI and generative AI.

6. Consus.health

Accenture acquired Consus.health in August to strengthening its health-care consulting in the DACH region. Freiburg, Germany-based Consus.health is a health-care management consultancy that will enhance Accenture’s capabilities in health-care strategy, digital transformation and managed services, enabling the company to better support health-care providers and hospitals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In addition to its consultancy services, Consus.health provides more than 90 training courses for health-care professionals at all levels. With a team of 140 experts, Consus.health joined Accenture’s health strategy and consulting practice, which represents a move by Accenture to enhance its health-care offerings and build on its strong presence in the DACH market.

5. Joshua Tree Group

Accenture acquired Franklin, Tenn.-based Joshua Tree Group, a specialized supply chain consulting firm focused on optimizing distribution center performance. The acquisition strengthened Accenture’s ability to help clients in retail, consumer goods and other product-related industries boost the efficiency and productivity of their distribution operations.

Joshua Tree Group’s expertise paired with Accenture’s digital technology will enable the development of more autonomous supply chains, leveraging AI-powered tools to drive improvements in labor productivity, inventory management and customer fulfillment. The number of employees that came over in the deal was not disclosed.

4. Allitix

Accenture acquired Irvine, Calif.-based Allitix, a consulting and technology firm specializing in Anaplan solutions, to enhance Accenture’s ability to deliver connected planning across finance, sales, supply chain and human resources functions.

Allitix is an Anaplan partner with industry knowledge in manufacturing, consumer, technology, media, telecom and financial services. More than 70 employees, including 60 Anaplan specialists, joined Accenture’s North American technology team, boosting its capabilities in solution architecture, model building, integration and data management.

The move reinforces Accenture’s commitment to helping clients standardize planning processes, adapt to market dynamics and achieve improved business outcomes using Anaplan’s platform.

3. Award Solutions

Accenture acquired Plano, Texas-based Award Solutions, a provider of specialized training and consulting services in wireless and network technologies, including 5G, IoT and cloud-based solutions, in November.

Award Solutions operates globally, with employees located in New Mexico, Missouri, San Diego and Bangalore, India, and offers tailored, in-person, virtual and self-paced training programs to help telecom and technology providers harness the latest technologies. Its focus areas include 5G, AI, machine learning, data visualization, automation and network virtualization.

Award Solutions’ team of 29 professionals will join Accenture LearnVantage, Accenture’s technology learning and training service.

2. AOX

Accenture acquired AOX, a German company specializing in software solutions for automotive manufacturers and suppliers. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture’s ability to support automotive clients as they transition to software-defined vehicles and address critical challenges in system architecture and software integration.

Based in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, AOX serves major German automotive clients. The company’s team of more than 50 engineers will join Accenture’s Industry X division, further enhancing its capabilities in the automotive sector.

1. IQT Group

In December, Accenture acquired Italy-based IQT Group, a provider of engineering managed services specializing in large-scale infrastructure projects, which will further complement Accenture’s strengths in generative AI and digital capabilities.

IQT Group focuses on designing and supervising projects that support clean energy transitions and works closely with utility providers to modernize integrated electricity and water networks.

More than 450 engineers and consultants will join Accenture’s Industry X practice in Italy. The acquisition strengthens Accenture’s ability to support clients in planning, executing and managing net-zero infrastructure projects, driving more efficient and sustainable outcomes for public and private sector clients worldwide
